CI McRae Correctional Facility (Archived Federal Records)

CI McRae Correctional Facility, also known as McRae Correctional Institution, was a low-security private prison located in McRae‑Helena, Georgia. Operated by CoreCivic, it housed federal inmates under contract with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) from 2000 until November 30, 2022. After the contract ended, the facility ceased to operate as a federal prison and was later transferred to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
